Five billion plastic bottles were sent to landfill sites last year
How much are you recycling? A recent survey by Pledge4Plastics has found that 60 per cent of the UK population don’t have an interest in recycling as it has been revealed that five billion plastic bottles were sent to landfill sites in September last year.
A third of people thought they recycled to the best of their ability – but only one in six said they intentionally bought items because they were made from recycled materials.
Recent figures from the EU statistics office announced that Germany is the most continent recycling leaders at 65 per cent.
Britain is on 43.9 per cent, whereas France recycles 39 per cent.
