Proskips’ Projects – what we’re working on

When The Championships, Wimbledon comes round every year, everyone's naturally focused on what's happening on court, who's playing who in the first round, and who's odds-on to win in each category (though be warned, surprise knockouts are not uncommon at the world's most prestigious tennis tournament).  

You might be wondering why we're talking about tennis, but The Championships at Wimbledon is one of the projects we're working on this year, as we did last year. For the Championships, we provide all containers, both roll-on and roll-off containers, and skip containers for the set up and decamp.  

At Proskips, we are suppliers to multiple major sporting events and events in general. This includes the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Henley Royal Regatta, Cheltenham Racecourse, the Olympic Games, and Rugby World Cup events at Twickenham Stadium, among others. Below is a brief selection of the projects we've been working on, and are working on – in addition to The Championships at Wimbledon – in 2016/17.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

We provide skips and roll-on and roll-off containers for the full set up and take down of the world's most famous flower show, and will be doing so at this year's event. The Chelsea Flower Show is arguably the biggest event in the horticultural calendar, showcasing the best in garden design. From the show gardens to the floral displays, a lot needs to be done to make this event happen. 

RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Another highly-celebrated flower show set within the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, we provide skips for the set up and takedown. This year the event runs from 4-9 July, and is the place to be if you enjoy gardening and have an interest in plants/flowers. 

Tower of London Ice Rink

Seasonal skating in the shadow of the capital's greatest fortress, the Tower of London, is a treat for many, but we work behind the scenes to help make it all happen. Our work involves installation and takedown, and we provided skips for the ice rink's build and takedown.

Google London

We assisted the principal contractor in recycling all the construction waste generated from a complete redesign and refurbishment of Google's London HQ and YouTube's office space. 

Battersea Power Station

A lot of new developments are springing up around Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms, and the whole area is undergoing regeneration, not least the Battersea Power Station itself. This iconic building is currently being transformed into luxury flats and a leisure complex. What's our role in all this? We collect all plasterboard waste from the fit out of the power station redevelopment project, and make sure it is disposed of responsibly.
