These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Proskips, including skip hire, waste collection, recycling, and related waste management services. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
These terms apply to all services supplied by Proskips. Any other terms will only apply if agreed in writing by Proskips.
Proskips may carry out credit checks before opening an account and may share data with credit reference agencies for this purpose.
The customer’s rights under this agreement are personal and cannot be transferred without Proskips’ written consent.
These terms replace all previous versions.
The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply to this agreement.
Prices are stated on the quotation, website, or order confirmation and are exclusive of VAT.
Account customers must pay within 30 days of the invoice date. Non-account customers must pay in full before delivery unless agreed otherwise.
Late payments may incur interest above the Bank of England base rate.
Prices may change to reflect variations in fuel, disposal, labour, or legal compliance costs.
Proskips’ delivery and collection records will be accepted as proof of service.
The customer must ensure safe access for vehicles and provide enough space for delivery, turning, and collection.
The driver may refuse delivery or collection if access is unsafe or could cause damage.
Wasted journey: if Proskips cannot deliver or collect due to poor access, incorrect information, or unsafe site conditions, charges will apply.
Waiting time: delays on site beyond a reasonable period may result in charges applying.
Customers ordering skips off the public highway do so entirely at their own risk. Proskips is not liable for any surface damage caused by vehicles or skips leaving the highway.
Delivery times are estimates only. Proskips accepts no liability for delays caused by traffic, weather, breakdowns, or events beyond our control.
The customer is responsible for the skip and its contents from delivery until collection.
Skips remain the property of Proskips and must not be moved, altered, or used by others.
Skips must not be overloaded — waste must be level with the sides.
Fires are strictly prohibited. Any fire damage or misuse will result in charges applying.
The customer must not attach signs, paint, or otherwise damage the skip.
The standard hire period is 14 days unless agreed otherwise. Extended hire may result in charges applying.
Only non-hazardous waste may be placed in skips unless otherwise agreed.
The following items must not be placed in skips:
If prohibited items are found, charges will apply for additional handling, disposal, or return.
Overloaded or overweight skips may be refused collection and charges will apply.
If a skip is placed on a public road, the customer must obtain a valid council permit before delivery unless Proskips arranges it.
Skips placed on roads must be lit at night and coned or marked as required by the local authority.
The customer is responsible for safety at and around the delivery or collection site.
Customers must:
The customer must indemnify Proskips against any claims, losses, fines, or damage caused by their acts, omissions, or negligence.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before delivery will not be charged, provided no costs have been incurred.
Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery may result in charges applying.
Refunds will be processed within a reasonable time.
Proskips may cancel an order if payment cannot be authorised, materials are unavailable, or errors occur.
Proskips is not liable for damage caused by vehicles operating off the public highway at the customer’s request.
Proskips is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Total liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
Customers must keep skips secure and ensure they are not overloaded, moved, or damaged.
Proskips is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control, including weather, strikes, breakdowns, or government actions.
Proskips may amend these terms to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice if the other commits a serious breach or becomes insolvent.
Any outstanding charges become due immediately upon termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the English courts.
Under UK environmental law and Environment Agency regulations, certain materials must not be mixed with general waste. Examples include:
Customer – the person or company hiring skips or receiving waste services.
Proskips – Proskips, a trading brand of Prowaste Management Services Ltd.
Service – any waste collection, recycling, skip hire, or disposal service provided by Proskips.
Equipment – skips, containers, or other items supplied by Proskips.
Hire Period – standard 14-day hire period.
Wasted Journey – failed delivery or collection due to unsafe access, incorrect details, or site issues.
Waiting Time – reasonable allowance before additional time-related charges apply.
Working Day – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
POPs Waste – upholstered furniture containing Persistent Organic Pollutants as defined by the Environment Agency.
